Flo Staffelmayr was born in Strasbourg (France) and grew up in France, Marokko and Austria. First he studied economics and worked several years in the economy. In 2006 he succeeded the stage-ready test followed by numerous performances amongst others at the Schauspielhaus Vienna and the National Theatre Lisbon. In 2009 he founded "Theater Ansicht" (theatre view), to realize own projects, since that time he has been working as a playwright and has already been given several scholarships and awards. For "Pietro Pizzi" Flo Staffelmayr won the Jungwild-Förderpreis (promoting award) in the field of TYA in 2012. Since 2012 he also conducts writing workshops (Power, School, Theatre, Dschungel Vienna, Buchpiloten (book pilots)) and in 2013 he was a member of the "Next Generation" program of the ASSITEJ International meeting. "Malala" evolved as a commissioned piece for Dschungel Vienna.
