Salah Naoura, born in 1964, studied German and Swedish in Berlin and Stockholm and afterwards he first worked for two years as a lector for a children books publisher. Since 1995 he works as a free translator and author. He translated numerous children-, youth- and factual books and published his own children novels, reading books for beginners, poems and stories for children. For his children book "Matti and Sami and the three biggest mistakes of the universe" he was honoured amongst other prizes with the Peter Härtling award and the Jahres-LUCHS of the ZEIT and Radio Bremen. Matti and Sami have also conquered the stage in 2012 (Badisches Staatstheater Karlsruhe) and performed with music at the ATZE Theater in Berlin in 2015 followed by Marko as "STAR" at the Theater an der Parkaue.
